Alan Wolfson spent 18 months painstakingly remaking (and re-imagining) sections of Canal Street in New York to a minute (1/2inch=1foot) scale. He uses plastic mostly, and even designs and installs the tiny light fixtures, and in such a way as to have them easily and efficiently maintained.
