The first project I did for college, and pretty much the first organised photo-project I ever did, was on the scrapyard at the Galway docks. This is the guy who surreptitiously let me on board the boat, then told me to get off cos the captain was on his way back.
Up in the cab, leaning out the window, the noise was incredible.
